For In State Owners for June, July, and August (as of May 31, 2020)
We hope this finds you and your family well. You’ve probably been wondering what is happening at Harbor Ridge, specifically regarding COVID-19 and its impact on your pending vacation. Please know yours and our safety and well-being are of the utmost importance to us. As this virus continues around the country and our world, we are following State Executive Orders, Maine CDC Guidelines, and federal CDC recommendations to help prevent the spread of the virus.
In State Owners are allowed to come to Harbor Ridge for their week of ownership beginning on June 1, 2020. We ask that you let us know whether or not you will be arriving! We have been preparing for your arrival, as we follow the recommendations of the CDC and the government. It has been an overwhelming few weeks, and we ask for your patience as we put new protocols in place.
As you arrive, you will find your welcome envelope by the Clubhouse front door, and it will provide your unit number, internet access, restaurant information, and emergency numbers.
The Clubhouse amenities and the Front Desk will be closed for the time being. Staff will be available by calling the Front Desk from your townhouse.
The outside amenities may be used at your own risk.
We have amped up our sanitizing of your unit, and all used linens (including sheets, spreads, blankets, pillow protectors, mattress pads, towels, and shower curtains) will be completely replaced each week. The diaries have been removed, and the unit book can be view on our website.
Unfortunately, it is recommended that we not host our breakfast, our wine and cheese social hour, and our S’mores activity. You are welcome to use the fire pit at your leisure within our posted guidelines.
Some owners in our database have out-of-state addresses due to being snowbirds from the State of Maine. If you are a Maine snowbird and you will have completed isolation in Maine for 14-days, you are welcome to come for your week. If you plan to self-quarantine at friends or family or in a campground for 14 days prior to your week, you may come; however, you should bring documentation stating of your arrival date here in Maine (e.g. toll booth receipt, campground receipt). Please let us know immediately that you plan to come for your week.
If you have friends or family in Maine, you may allow them to use your week. You just need to call us with their name, address, phone number, and email address. Advance notice is greatly appreciated.
We understand the disappointment that many of you may experiencing, as your out-of-state family members can not come vacation with you at this time. Our governor says that there may be some flexibility IF the virus data improves throughout New England; however, this is a big IF. Many of Maine’s tourists live in “hot spots,” and our state leadership is trying to protect the people in our communities, so we can welcome everyone safely as soon as possible.
Some have said that your numbers in Maine are low. Yes, in the large picture, our numbers are low; however, our first cases appeared much later than the rest of the country. Our Maine healthcare system has very limited resources, especially our local hospitals.
We are all in this together! Wash your hands, practice physical distancing, and stay healthy!!! We love our owners, and we appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and patience during these crazy times! We look forward to seeing you all again safely and soon.
Many happy vacations,
Harbor Ridge Management and the Board of Directors
